DESCRIPTION: Small Arms - National Arms Co of Brooklyn, NY, Factory Engraved No.1 Derringer pistol, Civil War era, manufactured approximately 1866, .41 caliber rim fire, exposed trigger, silver-plated receiver and handle with factory floral engraved details, 2 inch matching silver-plated barrel with floral engraved details top stamped "National Arms Co," s#180.
CONDITION: Good action; excellent-plus overall cosmetic condition, tarnish to silver-plated finish, good rifled bore with very light pitting, excellent barrel with light loss of silver-plated finish at barrel tip and high wear areas, numerous small dings on frame and barrel as well as scattered areas of oxide, finish loss to side plates where brass is showing through; trigger with light oxide.
